Wandered round the garden today for an image – found the sempervarium and moss living in harmony, their colours contrasting so well.
Although it was rather gusty today, I managed to get a walk in before the rain arrived and found this interesting fungus growing on an old tree stump. I thought they looked rather like jelly fish! It is called Auricularia auricula-judae, also known as the Jew’s ear, wood ear, or jelly ear.
Beautiful lichen and moss covered branch, with buds forming on the twig – spring is definitely on its way!
On such a grey, damp day it was difficult to find something to photograph. This colourful old wall, covered in moss and lichen attracted my attention and I am pleased with the resulting depth of field and perspective.
