We had some terrific thunder storms today and between the storms I managed to grab this shot for today’s photo. This is a beautiful hybrid tea rose called National Trust, unfortunately it has no scent.
Finally got round to cutting the dead flowers on the Amaryllis. Previously featured on Day 12 and Day 20 of this 365 Project. This one bulb has produced two stems containing four flowers each over a two month period. They have provided so much interest during a dreary time of year and have been good value for money!
It was another dull and miserable day today, so I didn’t go outside looking for a photograph. As always when you least expect to find a photo opportunity, I came across this beautiful sight in a car park! Luckily I had my compact camera with me – which just goes to shows a photographer should always carry a camera everywhere!
These cherry-sized crab apples really brightened up the gloom and was surprised the birds hadn’t eaten them.
This is a macro of the Amaryllis I posted when it was still in bud. This is Amaryllis Red Lion – a bold and striking flower, but at the same time delicate.
