It was another dull and miserable day today, so I didn’t go outside looking for a photograph. As always when you least expect to find a photo opportunity, I came across this beautiful sight in a car park! Luckily I had my compact camera with me – which just goes to shows a photographer should always carry a camera everywhere!

These cherry-sized crab apples really brightened up the gloom and was surprised the birds hadn’t eaten them.

I got the idea for today’s image when the sun emerged just as I went to eat a banana! I remembered the banana plant I am over-wintering in the conservatory and how lovely the leaves look with the sun behind them.
